Hey all!
Lately i've been soo busy, there was noo time alot for cooking but today i cooked my overdue request by a friend and that's high on fiber brown rice which take alot of time usually to cook. But i tried something different and i'm sharing it with you. Hope you enjoy!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup brown rice( serves 2)
- 2 cup water or chicken stalk.
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp vegetable/olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- Additional seasoning as desired
METHOD:
- Soak rice in water for at least an hour.
- In a pressure cooker place the oil and add garlic paste. Allow it to cook.
- Add salt and any other seasoning.
- Now drain all the water and add the brown rice to the cooker.
- Now add the 2 cups water or stalk.
- Close the lid properly and place the weights( pressure regulating muzzle) above.
- Increase the flame and wait for the weight to start moving, after it starts moving allow it to cook for another 2 minutes.
- Now donot open the lid just lower down the flame to its lowest strength and place a flat griddle or tawa below the pressure to avoid the rice to burn.
- Now cook like this for 10 minutes exact.
- Then switch off the flame and open after another 5 minutes.
- Serve warm.
