Brown rice

Hey all!
Lately i've been soo busy, there was noo time alot for cooking but today i cooked my overdue request by a friend and that's high on fiber brown rice which take alot of time usually to cook. But i tried something different and i'm sharing it with you. Hope you enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:

  1. 1 cup brown rice( serves 2)
  2. 2 cup water or chicken stalk.
  3. 1 tsp salt
  4. 1 tbsp vegetable/olive oil
  5. 1 tsp garlic paste
  6. Additional seasoning as desired

METHOD:

  1. Soak rice in water for at least an hour.
  2. In a pressure cooker place the oil and add garlic paste. Allow it to cook.
  3. Add salt and any other seasoning.
  4. Now drain all the water and add the brown rice to the cooker.
  5. Now add the 2 cups water or stalk.
  6. Close the lid properly and place the weights( pressure regulating muzzle) above.
  7. Increase the flame and wait for the weight to start moving, after it starts moving allow it to cook for another 2 minutes.
  8. Now donot open the lid just lower down the flame to its lowest strength and place a flat griddle or tawa below the pressure to avoid the rice to burn.
  9. Now cook like this for 10 minutes exact.
  10. Then switch off the flame and open after another 5 minutes.
  11. Serve warm.

COOKING TIME: 16-20 minutes
