Chicken wontons with tangy sauce
 Hellooo!
So today i made this gorgeous recipe that i'm sharing with you! It looks lengthy but believe me when you make all the things together it takes 2 hours but the result is simply delicious!
They can be used as starters or whenever.

INGREDIENTS FOR WON TON WRAPS: ( or simply buy wonton/dumpling wraps)

  1. 1 mug of plain flour
  2. 1 egg
  3. Salt
  4. Water half a mug
  5. 1 tbsp oil

INGREDIENTS FOR FILLING:

  1. 1/4th of a kg chicken mince( or a little less if adding vegetables)
  2. 1 tsp garlic paste
  3. 1 tsp black pepper
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Oyster sauce
  6. Soya sauce 2 tbsp
  7. Hot sauce 2 tbsp
  8. Vinegar 2 tsp
  9. 1 tbsp oil for frying
  10. White pepper
  11. Green onions chopped
  12. Red or green bell pepper chopped(optional)

INGREDIENTS FOR THE TANGY SAUCE:

  1. 1/4th cup of water
  2. 1 tbsp brown sugar
  3. 2 tbsp ketchup
  4. 2 tbsp soya sauce
  5. 1 tbsp vinegar
  6. 2 tbsp orange juice
  7. 1 tsp corn flour mixed in water
  8. Salt
  9. Red chilli flakes



METHOD FOR CHICKEN mince:

  1. In a pan add oil, garlic paste. Allow it to cook then add chicken till the color changes.
  2. Add all sauces and seasonings.
  3. Top with green onion, cook till chicken dries.

METHOD MAKING FOR THE WRAPS:

  1. Add flour to a bowl, mix salt to it , make a well in between and add one beaten egg.
  2. Now with the help of a spoon mix this up and add 1 tbsp of oil.
  3. Mix again, while gradually adding water till The dough forms.
  4. Now place this rough dough on a clean , dry, floured surface, on which you are going to knead it with your wet hands. 
  5. Then let this stand for 20 minutes after covering it.
  6. Then knead it again till it smoothens up, now cover for 30 minutes.
  7. Split this dough into a half and roll it on a floured surface, as thin as you can.
  8. Cut into squares and fill the chicken.
  9. Wrap it like an envelope by placing an egg on the edges of the square .
  10. In a non stick pan add a little oil and place the wontons, allow the lower side to golden brown.
  11. Now add half a cup of water and cover with a lid.
  12. After 3 minutes remove it.
  13. Serve hot

METHOD FOR TANGY SAUCE:












  1. Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan and cook till the desired thickness.
