Quick fix: Mac n cheese sandwich

Hi all!
Hope you're all doing well! So yesterday I had this test which I literally hated but I wanted to pass it desperately so I had to study anyway, in the middle of which I felt so hungry, as if I'll die if I won't eat. 😝
I needed a quick, easy and fulfilling recipe, so I went for macaroni and cheese filled grilled cheese style sandwich. My earlier problem with these sandwiches was that I found them too heavy because of too much cheese, also in usual recipes it's kinda bland so in my version I'll add left over chicken for texture and a little less cheese as per my liking.   1. Fresh soft bread slices--4 
  2. Boiled Macaroni--1 cup  (basically any pasta available)
  3. Good quality Sharp cheddar cheese--50 gram (you can go ahead and tripple the quantity)
  4. Butter--5 tbsp (any kind that's available)
  5. Salt and pepper
  6. Pinch of red chili flakes
  7. 2 tbsp of cream
  8. Left over chicken or or pickled jalapenos for vegans

NOTE: This recipe is strictly my version and it's not traditional Mac n cheese. Also don't go crazy with salt! 😝


  1. In a pan add butter, chicken and boiled pasta.
  2. Let the butter melt.
  3. Add your seasonings.
  4. Now add cream.
  5. Lastly add your shredded cheese or good quality slices it depends on what's available and what's your preference, let it melt.
  6. Now directly place this pasta over your bread slice and coverup with the other.
  7. Grill the sandwich over a lightly buttered non stick, till both sides are crisp and golden.
  8. For extra crispiness butter the outer sides of your sandwich and watch out that it doesn't burn.
  9. Serve immediately.
