Butter Chicken
Hey everyone!
So today I'm sharing this yummy Pakistani/ Indian recipe, BUTTER CHICKEN!!!!!! <3 <3
This is one recipe that you can swear by any time! I love this rich red color and the taste is too good!!



  1. 300 grams boneless chicken breast (cut into strips of cubes)
  2. salt
  3. 1 tsp red chili powder
  4. 1.5 tbsp of chicken tikka or tandoori masala
  5. 1 tsp garlic paste
  6. 1 tbsp of yogurt


  1. half kg tomatoes, chopped
  2. 1 large onion, chopped
  3. 3 tbsp oil
  4. 4 tbsp butter
  5. 2 green cardamom (green elaichi)
  6. 2 cloves
  7. 3 green chilies
  8. 1 tsp garam masala powder (all spice)
  9. salt according to taste
  10. 1 tbsp red chili powder
  11. 1 tbsp paprika or Kashmiri red chili powder 
  12. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  13. 3 tbsp cream
  14. 1 tsp ginger paste
  15. 1 tbsp garlic paste
  16. 10-12 chopped or ground cashew nuts (optional)
  17. 1/2 tsp sugar
  18. Quarter cup water


  1. Marinate chicken in the marinade for 20 minutes, then fry it till the color changes to brown.
  2. In a pan add oil and butter, then add cardamom, cloves for 5 seconds.
  3. Then add onions, cook till the color changes.
  4. Now add garlic and ginger paste, let it cook.
  5. Now add tomatoes, cook till 5 minutes.
  6. Now add water, cook further 5 minutes.
  7. Add salt and 1 green chili.
  8. Let the mixture cool down.
  9. Now blend the mixture and sieve it. (i'm too lazy to filter)
  10. In the same pan add some butter and oil.
  11. Add the remaining 2 green chilies and ginger paste.
  12. Now add the sieved mixture, cashewnuts and cooked chicken.
  13. Mix in the red chili powder, paprika,garam masala, lemon juice.
  14. Cook for 2 minutes.
  15. Now add cream and mix it up.
  16. Now garnish with extra cream and butter.
  17. Serve with roty or naan!
