Caesar salad with grilled chicken

Hi everyone!!
Today I'm sharing this salad recipe with you, which is very tasty yet healthy at the same time. In fact a healthy salad was requested from a long time and today i made it because I'm dieting myself! :P The dressing for this salad is eggless so that if anyone has issues using raw egg which is a usual ingredient in Caesar salad, he or she can also enjoy this salad without a danger of salmonella infection. Instead of anchovy paste, another regular, I used fish sauce because I wasn't able to get it here. Also usually and originally romaine lettuce is used and tastes the best but again I wasn't able to get it in any of the super stores so I had to use iceberg lettuce. For croutons the best bread that you can use is Italian bread but I have used normal white bread. Even with all these changes the salad was amazing thanks to the dressing! :D


  1. Romaine lettuce or iceberg if only romaine is unavailable.
  2. 1 chicken breast (marinated with red chilli powder, salt, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, Cayenne pepper or paprika)
  3. Italian bread or regular white bread.


  1. 1 tsp mustard paste
  2. 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  3. 1 medium-sized lemon juice
  4. 1 clove of garlic finely minced
  5. Pinch of salt
  6. Pinch of black pepper
  7. 3-4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  8. 2-3 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese


  1. 2 white bread slices, edges trimmed
  2. 2 tsp olive oil
  3. 1/4th tsp of garlic paste
  4. Pinch of salt


  1. Pound the chicken and marinate it with the spices mentioned above.
  2. Mix every thing mentioned in the dressing section accept the oil and Parmesan. Then beat the mixture manually or by machine, then while beating add a thin stream of oil gradually untill its well combined, then add Parmesan cheese to it.
  3. In a pan add some olive oil and  garlic, then add your cubed bread and cook till crunchy and golden. You can also bake it for 10 minutes.
  4. Now grill or cook your chicken.
  5. In a dish add your torn lettuce, then pour your dressing.
  6. Then add your chicken, cut into strips.
  7. Make sure you add croutons just at the time of serving to avoid the sogginess.
  8. Top up with more grated parmesan and serve immediately!


NOTE:  You can double or triple the recipe if you want! If you want to store it in the fridge you can do so but you'd have to make the croutons fresh every time.
