Fried donuts

Fried donuts

 Hi everyone!!!!
Okay I know I haven't posted for the longest time but today i'm sharing with you an easy donut recipe. Although I'm not very good with the glaze. The donuts on their own are amazing!! So let's get started!

INGREDIENTS: (1 cup=150ml)

  1. 5 cups plain flour (plus extra for rolling)
  2. 1 cup powdered sugar
  3. Pinch of salt
  4. 2 tsp instant yeast
  5. 1 egg
  6. Half cup of vegetable oil
  7. Half cup of milk
  8. Oil for frying
  9. Pinch of cinnamon powder

  1. Mix the dry ingredients, yeast and salt on two separate sides.
  2. Then in a separate bowl mix the wet ingredients.
  3. Now add them together gradually making a dough.
  4. Cover this dough for 2 hours.
  5. Now roll half the dough with a rolling pin to half inch thickness.
  6. With a help of a cookie cutter or a cup or a glass, cut the outer circle.
  7. With a cap cut the inner circle. ( your donuts should be as small as possible)
  8. Now cover these and reuse the left over dough with the other batch.
  9. Cover the donuts for half hour at least.
  10. Now let the oil heat on medium, check it by dropping some dough, if it comes on the top then the oil is ready .
  11. Now add your donuts to the oil, precisely give a minute on each side.
  12. Now let them cool and then cover with your glaze ( simple sugar or melted chocolate or anything you like)
  13. Serve hot!
  14. If you want to store them, place them in the fridge covering in aluminum foil.

YIELDS: 25 medium to small sized donuts
