Chicken nuggets with honey mustard sauce

Hello everyone!
I hope you are doing well! So yesterday I was craving for nuggets and my store bought pack had finished so I was forced to make these at home and boy oh boy I didn't regret my decision! One tip which I'll give maybe that take smallest portions of mince for each nugget because after frying it increases in size! Also DO make honey mustard sauce because it was amazing with this recipe! So let's get started:

INGREDIENTS FOR NUGGETS:

  1. 200-250 grams of chicken mince
  2. Half, small ground onion (optional)
  3. Salt to taste
  4. 3-4 tbsp fresh coriander paste
  5. 1 tsp mustard paste
  6. 2 garlic cloves/paste chopped and sauteed
  7. 1 tsp black pepper powder
  8. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  9. 3 tbsp bread crumbs for filling
  10. 1 egg + 3 tbsp water for coating
  11. 1 cup of breadcrumbs seasoned 
  12. 1 plate of plain flour
  13. Oil for frying
  14. 1 tsp soy sauce + 1 tsp vinegar



METHOD:



  1. In a chopper/grinder or manually, blend together the onion, coriander and sauteed garlic in a paste with 1 tsp vinegar and soy sauce.
  2. Add this paste, mustard, salt, pepper, red chilli powder, bread crumbs to your chicken mince.
  3. Mix the chicken with your hands.
  4. Divide the chicken to 18-20 small nuggets, shape them like a square.
  5. Now first dip them into the flour then egg wash then the crumbs.
  6. Coat all your nuggets.
  7. Then place them into the freezer for 20 minutes.
  8. Then carefully shallow fry them on medium heat. Till they are golden brown.

INGREDIENTS FOR HONEY MUSTARD SAUCE:

  1. 3 tbsps mayonnaise
  2. 1 tsp honey
  3. 1/2- 2/3rd tsp mustard paste
  4. Pinch of paprika powder

METHOD:

  1. Mix all these ingredients and place it in the fridge.
  2. Serve it with nuggets, fries or mozzarella sticks!

    YEILDS: 20 nuggets
