Oat flour red velvet pancakes
Hi everyone!! I hope you all are well and enjoying winters. I'm back with a kind-of healthy recipe. Red velvet pancakes which you can make with normal flour but I replaced it with oatflour, just to make it a little guilt free. I personally added less sugar to my cream cheese glaze too. I hope you will enjoy the recipe and give me your feedback in the comments below. Check out my .banana pancakes and Regular Pancakes too!

INGREDIENTS:

  1. 1 cup of oat flour or regular flour
  2. 1 cup of butter milk or almond milk
  3. 1 large egg
  4. 2 tbsp coca powder
  5. 1/2 tsp baking powder
  6. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  7. 3 tbsp sugar- any kind
  8. 2 drops of vanilla
  9. Pinch of salt
  10. Pinch of Cinnamon
  11. 2 tbsp melted butter
  12. Red food color- 1-2 tbsp
  13. For cream cheese glaze - 4 tbsp cream cheese, half cup sugar, 2 tbsp milk, 2 drops of vanilla essence(You can go for a healthy alternate if you are on a diet, also you can use regular cream cheese frosting)- THE GLAZE/FROSTING TASTES BETTER AFTER 1-2 HOURS OF REFRIGERATION!

METHOD:

  1. Mix wet and dry ingredients in separate bowls.
  2. Mix them together, leave some lumps.
  3. Grease a non stick pan with oil or butter, heat on medium to low flame.
  4. Add a small scoop of pancake batter.
  5. Allow bubbles to form, then flip.
  6. Cook for another minute.
  7. Serve hot or after 2 hours of refrigeration with the glaze, ice cream, whipped cream or chopped nuts etc.

YIELDS: 6 medium sized pancakes
