Whole wheat Pasta with cream cheese

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is well. I'm down with cold and allergies but still cooking because I love it! So I had to try a recipe with whole wheat Pasta and I had cream cheese so I decided to give it a try. Then I ended up adding spinach and chicken too! So basically everything that was available. The pasta ended up being pretty decent and yummy.

INGREDIENTS:


  1. 300 grams pasta of your choice (I used whole wheat)
  2. 1 tbsp butter
  3. 1 tbsp olive oil
  4. 1 tsp chopped garlic
  5. 1 small chopped onion-optional
  6. 100 gram of cooked spinach- or less
  7. 100 grams of herbed or plain, cream cheese- or less
  8. Salt
  9. Black pepper
  10. Coriander powder
  11. Quarter cup of milk or water or cream- depends on the desired consistency, I used milk
  12. Red chili flakes
  13. Cheddar cheese- optional
  14. Cubed chicken- 1/4th of a breast piece
  15. Dried oregano



METHOD:
  1. In a pan add butter+olive oil.
  2. Then add garlic and chicken.
  3. Let it cook. Then add salt, coriander powder, black pepper.
  4. Then add spinach, cream cheese, cheese and milk.
  5. Add red chili flakes, oregano. 
  6. Then add cooked pasta and mix.
  7. Give it a taste, add something if missing.
  8. Serve hot!


NOTE: This is not a diet recipe but using whole wheat pasta is a healthier alternative, so you get more protein and fiber.
