Pasta in spiced up Marinara |
Today's recipe is my brother's favorite. It's extremely easy and better than what you get at a restaurant. You can add the left over marinara in an air tight container and refrigerate it for 6 days. So Let's get started!
INGREDIENTS FOR MARINARA:
- 1 can of tomato puree
- 4 large pealed diced tomatoes
- 2-3 tbsp oil
- 1 onion- finely chopped
- 1 tbsp of garlic paste
- 1 tbsp of dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried or fresh thyme/basil
- Salt
- Crushed black pepper
- Red chilli flakes
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- 1/2 chicken cube
INGREDIENTS FOR PASTA:
- 350-400 gram pasta- al dente
- Small cubed chicken- cooked in salt, papper, red pepper and lemon.
- Shredded cheese of your choice
METHOD:
- In a nonstick pan add oil, garlic and onion.
- Let it cook untill the onion is translucent
- Then add chopped tomatoes, chicken cube, and 3 tbsp water.
- Cook for 3 minutes, then add puree and all other ingredients.
- Cook for 15 minutes on low.
- Then in another pan add pasta, chicken and cheese.
- Mix well then add the desired amount of marinara and serve hot.
