Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate
19:39:00Hi guys!
I'm back with another chocolate recipe since I have this large bag of dark chocolate for winters.
This recipe is thick, rich, amazing and obviously for everyday!
So I had tried a salted caramel hot chocolate in a restaurant, a year ago and I always wanted to try it at home but I was always lazy to make salted caramel. Today I decided to make it finally, in clean pan I added a cup of sugar with 1/4th cup of water and let it cook on medium heat, without mixing till it bubbled and turned dark. Then I added, 3 tbsp of cream and some butter and removed it off the heat. Then mixed in some salt.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/4 th cup of salted caramel (l
- f you don't have it you can make it at home or replace it with condensed milk for normal hot chocolate)
- 2 cups of milk (If you want it too rich then use 1/2 cup of cream and 1.5 cups of milk)
- 1/4th cup of chopped dark chocolate.
- 1/2 tsp of cornflour.
- Pinch of cinnamon power.
- Drop of vanilla essence.
- 2 tbsp coca powder.
METHOD:
- In a pan, add your milk, cinnamon, Coca powder, chocolate, caramel, vanilla and mix will.
- Let it boil, then take out some of the hot chocolate and mix the cornflour as a thickening agent. Then add this to the rest of the hot chocolate. You can skin this step if you're using cream.
- Then boil again and pour into your cup.
- Serve hot in a large mug!
