 Chocolate chip cookies

Hi everyone! I'm posting after months I know but i absolutely had to post this recipe because I tried it and it was really easy and delicious. I researched about chocolate chip cookies and I deduced that I should try Gemma's recipe for best ever chocolate chip cookies.  Her recipe yielded 15 cookies so I split all her ingredients to a half and first i tried the same 190 degree Celsius for 12 minutes as she instructed but i burnt my cookies in the process because i had a gas oven. so later i preheated at 200 degree Celsius and cooked for just 10 minutes at 120 degree Celsius and they turned out perfect this time. I had to let them rest for ten minutes before serving.
This recipe yields 8 large cookies. you can double or triple it. Also one tip that I found really helpful was that I let the butter cool down before mixing in the sugars that prevents the cookie from becoming flat. Most importantly use good quality bitter sweet or even dark chocolate chunks or chips that really really makes a difference in the cookies or add 2 different kind of chocolates milk and dark OR add coca powder to half the batch and make double chocolate cookies. Serve them with milk or tea or vanilla ice cream it's up to you.

Ingredients:

1. 1/2 cup butter(melted)
2. 5/8 of a cup brown sugar ( A little more than half a cup approx.)
3. 3/8 of a cup caster sugar ( A  little less than a cup)
4. 1+1/4th cup plain flour (maida)
5. 1/2 tsp salt
6. 1/2 tsp baking soda
7. 1 large egg
8. 1 tsp vanilla
9. 1 cup chopped bittersweet or dark chocolate
10. baking sheet lined with butter paper

Recipe:

1. Mix flour, salt, baking soda. set aside.
2. Melt butter in a microwave and let it cool down for a few minutes then add both the sugars and whisk for 1 minute until it looks like a smooth paste.
3. Now add the egg, vanilla and mix again.
4. Then add the dry to the wet ingredients until well combined.
5. Add the chopped chocolate (Hershey's) or chips or m&ms etc.
6. Cover with a cling film and refrigerate for an hour or more.
7. preheat the oven (I'm referring to the gas type for 10 minutes like mentioned in the intro)
8. Scoop the dough on to the baking sheet, bake for 10 minutes on 120 degree Celsius or until the edges a re golden but the center is still soft.
9. let it rest for 10 minutes then serve.
10. You can double the recipe to get exactly Gemma's version.
